Basketball Kits

A typical basketball kit will feature the basketball jersey, basketball shorts and often basketball teams will have their own socks as well. Basketball shoes are generally not included in a basketball 'kit' and are sold separately. Famous basketball kits from some of the top NBA basketball teams include the Chicago Bulls (red and white), Orlando Magic (white and blue/turquoise) and the LA Lakers (purple and yellow). The Harlem Globetrotters play in all red at home and blue/white away.

Basketball kits have been designed to be light, flexible, and airy and importantly they are sleeveless to allow for additional movement of the hands and arms during play. For the taller players (some players can be approaching 7ft or more) there are extra long basketball jerseys for their basketball kit. Basketball kits can be purchased in a package from most major retailers and sports/athletic manufacturers, in both kids and adults sizes, from anywhere between $40 to up and above $100 depending on sizes and design.

One of the most appealing aspects about these basketball kits is that, unlike their football equivalents they stay pretty much the same as they always have been, meaning fans do not have to keep buying replacement kits when new designs come out. Some of the most famous basketball kits were worn by the hall-of-famers whose iconic status guarantees that replica kits get bought continuously. Michael Jordan's number 23 jersey and shorts for the Chicago Bulls is probably the most well known and if you are lucky enough to get a signed jersey then it could be worth several thousand dollars.
